Halloween Jaguar Makeup Look
Everyone will tell you that I LOVE jaguars. When I moved to Jacksonville a decade ago, I was excited to have an NFL team in my new home city! We were pretty awesome. We had Jimmy Smith, Fred Taylor, Mark Brunell, then MJD. The last few years have been rough to watch, but I still support my boys! I also love jaguars because, they are the biggest and baddest cats in the Western Hemisphere. They have a powerful bite that goes through the skull between the ears for a fatal bite to the prey's brain -- the only feline to do this! *claw claw*
Using makeup products I owned, I transformed into a jaguar for a day.

I sprayed Temptu Airbrush Foundation in 007 all over my face. I patted NARS Concealer in Custard under my eyes and the lower 1/3 of my face, including my lips. I then dusted an ivory Chic from Cao Cosmetics Editorial Eyeshadow Palette on top of the concealer. I set everything with MAKE UP FOR EVER's HD Setting Powder.
I wanted a smoky eye, so I applied a thick line of Sephora Brand's Liquid Liner in Black around my eyes. I brushed a near-black metallic Creep from Urban Decay's Naked Palette on top of the liner. Jaguars have round eyes, so I applied more Creep in the middle of the top and bottom lines. I used Xtreme Lashes GlideLiner in Black to line my waterline. Love this liner! It's a rich black that is creamy and smudge-proof. Once it goes on, it does not budge. From the same palette, I softened the eyes with a bronze-plum shimmer Darkhouse in the crease. I finished the eyes with a coat of Xtreme Lashes Xtreme Length & Volume Mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
I hope I resemble the guy above. He was my inspiration. :)
Jaguar spots are solid on the head and neck. To mimic these spots, I used Bobbi Brown's Waterproof Gel Liner in Black to apply small irregular circles or kidney-shaped "beans" around my face. For whiskers, I dotted four rows on both sides above my mouth. I applied the liner around my nostrils, down the middle of my upper lip, and onto the inner parts of my lips. Time to bedazzle!
I set the liner with a glittery, yet matte black Oil Slick from Urban Decay's Ammo Palette. Love sparkle! I applied a matte Sephora Brand Star Color Adjusting Bronzer on my cheeks and forehead, while applying a bit more color to the center of my forehead and nose. I dusted a little more Chic on the tip of my nose and around my eyes. I finished the look with a satiny nude Virgin below my brows and inner corners of my eyes.
I will be going to the zoo for Halloween, and I am excited to visit the nation's largest jaguar exhibit, which includes cub Khan. It will be Spooktacular!
Happy Hump Day!

Teresa Thuy
